Formerly known as the Health Expo and hosted by HomePorts with our friends at the Kent County Health Department and University of Maryland Shore Regional Health, this year’s festival is set for May 16, 2026, 10am-2pm at Wilmer Park in Chestertown —and you won’t want to miss it!

What makes WellFest at Wilmer special?

This year’s expanded event is all about the health of our whole community—celebrating “all things health” for neighbors of all ages in a fun, welcoming atmosphere. We’re shining a spotlight on every aspect of wellness, including:

Physical Health: Move, stretch, and discover ways to keep your body strong and active.
Mental Health: Find resources to support a healthy, happy mind.
Spiritual Health: Explore practices and connections that nurture your spirit.
Environmental Health: Learn how our surroundings shape our wellbeing—and how we can protect them.
Social Health: Build friendships, community, and a sense of belonging.
Public Health: Stay informed about community health initiatives and resources.
Financial Wellness: Get tips and tools for managing your health-related finances.
Nutritional Health: Savor delicious ideas and guidance for fueling your best life.

We’re expecting a larger-than-ever turnout this year – attracting more than 500 attendees and a park full of vendors and exhibitors. Special features we expect include free health screenings, a flu vaccine clinic, entertainment, live interactive demos, kids’ activities, and a variety of healthy food options available for purchase.

As you plan your organization’s presence at WellFest at Wilmer, here are some ideas to get you started. We can also work with you to imagine other possibilities.

Sponsor a Demo Class, such as Tai Chi Walking, stress-reduction yoga, salsa, line dancing, or a jump-rope competition, to showcase your product and promote your programs.
Offer immunizations, depression screening, and smoking cessation for brand exposure, new client acquisition, and community goodwill.
Host a cooking demonstration, donate healthy snacks, and sample products to increase your brand’s visibility.
Install an interactive exhibit to showcase a product or initiative for brand visibility and goodwill.
