Our flagship event for 2015 aims to foster community wellness in Kent County, organized in cooperation with the Shore Regional Health System

  • Numerous free health screenings to assess your personal health and potential health risks
  • Free talks and demonstrations on topics such as skin cancer detection, weight management, vaccinations, and incontinence
  • A two-hour workshop, “Your Plan for Living the Good Life” (registration fee required). Participants will prepare a personalized plan for successful aging, led by invited experts on Master Aging Plans.
  • Many exhibitors, both non-profit organizations and local businesses. Extensive information will be available to help attendees self-manage health and safety issues and obtain knowledge to ultimately reduce the demands on the health care and social services systems.

Led by Wayne Benjamin, MD, President of the Medical Staff at the UM Shore Medical Health Center at Chestertown, a large cadre of volunteers is planning and organizing the event.

Kent County strives to be a “community for a lifetime”. The aging population depends on a community that maintains good health. Having ready access to preventive health screenings and current information on health issues is critical for all ages.
